The Opening of the Holy Doors

The opening of the Holy Door by the Pope marks the beginning of the Jubilee. The Holy Year of 2025 includes this ritual, followed by the celebration of Holy Mass on Christmas Eve inside St. Peter’s Basilica.

The Crossing this threshold also symbolizes the journey of conversion. And it is a fitting reminder as we cross the threshold to a new year filled with many uncertainties ,doubts & fears that we renew our conversion to Jesus. We must open the doors of our souls remove the clutter , the darkness of sin and allow our true hope Jesus to enter .

“Hope does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5)

As Pope Fancis iterates :” may it be an intense year of prayer in which hearts are opened to receive the outpouring of God’s grace and to make the “Our Father,” the prayer Jesus taught us, the life programme of each of his disciples.”

What is Hope ?

“hope is “the theological virtue by which we desire the kingdom of heaven and eternal life as our happiness, placing our trust in Christ’s promises and relying not on our own strength, but on the help of the grace of the Holy Spirit ” (CCC 1817).
